Get answers to common questions about Acne Lift® Peel.
We recommend a series of 4–6 consecutive weekly Acne Lift® Peel treatments for maximum efficiency. Many clients see improvement after a couple sessions, while optimal clearing and spot reduction typically require completing the full series.
Most clients experience mild tingling or warmth during the peel. Light flaking or peeling can occur in the days following treatment. Downtime is minimal, and sensitivity usually subsides within a few days with proper aftercare.
No — Acne Lift® Peel cannot be performed while using retinols, Retin-A, or isotretinoin (Roaccutane). Discontinue topical retinoids as instructed by your clinician and inform us about any prescription oral medications before treatment.
Ideal candidates have oily, acne-prone skin or post-breakout discoloration and are not using retinoids or undergoing isotretinoin therapy. A consultation will confirm suitability and screen for contraindications like active infections or certain medications.
Treatments are brief and professional; you may feel mild stinging during application. Expect temporary redness and possible light peeling for several days. Improvements are gradual across sessions; always protect treated skin with broad-spectrum SPF.
Prepare by avoiding retinoids and aggressive exfoliation beforehand and arrive with clean skin. Afterward, use gentle cleanser, soothing moisturizer, and daily broad-spectrum sunscreen. Avoid direct sun, hot showers, and harsh products until skin fully recovers.
